Community Tree Planting
It was wonderful to see our "Community" value in action on a sunny Saturday morning in February, when a large number of parents, pupils and staff wrapped up warm to support our community tree planting. We had a fantastic turnout and the trees were all in the ground in under an hour - many hands certainly make light work!
Many thanks to Mrs Simon for organising the morning, Mr Blandin for supplying the digger and Mr Renouf for pre-digging all the holes.
We are also very grateful to the management of the Sir George Carteret pub for kindly donating several platters of delicious sandwiches for all the volunteers. Mrs Turmel's delicious cakes were also much appreciated!
We look forward to watching our new trees grow and provide new habitats for wild creatures while also forming a natural windbreak.
Thanks again to all involved.
