Our school is at the heart of the parish community, so we value and encourage community involvement.
St Peter's Parish Church
We have close links with the parish church, which is just across the road,. The Rector, Father Michael supports our learning about Christianity by leading assemblies every half term. We hold our Harvest Festival, enter the Christmas Tree Festival and hold our Christmas Carol Service in the church. We also celebrate St Peter's Day together.
The Parish of St. Peter
We work closely with parish officials and have a link with the French school, l'Ecole Beausejour in the parish twin town of Sainte-Hilaire-du-Harcouet. Our Year 6 pupils write to French pen pals and visit each other's schools.
Greenhills Country House Hotel
In 2017, we established a link with Greenhills Country Hotel. Our Year 2 class visit throughout the school year to learn how a hotel operates and about all the different people who work there.
Our Eco-team adopted a heifer called Peony at the Classic Farm. Pupils have the opportunity to visit the Classic Farm and learn about traditional Jersey Farming.
Community Police Officer
We have close links with P.C. Amanda Ingram, our St. Peter's Community Police Officer. Her role is to be proactive in gathering intelligence surrounding issues and problems within the community. She visits the school regularly and supports the school with educating our pupils in keeping themselves safe.
PC Ingram can be contacted on 612612 or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or via social media.
St Peter's Youth Club and Community Centre
Children in Year 4 and above may go to the St Peter's Youth Club, based at the St Peter's Youth and Community Centre. We sometimes make use of the Community Centre for Netball practice and occasional PE lessons.
