Educational Visits

We encourage our classes to go out on regular educational visits throughout the school year, as we believe our children can learn a lot from the outdoor environment and our island community, and want children to learn about our rich island heritage.

The school has its own minibus, kindly donated by the Friends of St Peter’s PTA, which is fitted with child-adjustable seat belts. We occasionally go out on coaches too, especially if more than one class is going. Sometimes we use a mixture of the mini-bus and staff’ cars. If cars are being used they are always insured and are fully seat belted. We welcome and encourage parental support on school visits.

We also have a programme of Residential visits: Year 4 have two nights at Crabbe, Year 5 have two nights at St Aubin’s Fort and Year 6 have a four-night trip to a PGL centre in France.
