We positively encourage working in partnership with parents, as demonstrated through our school motto, “Together we hold the keys to success.”
We aim to invite parents into school as often as possible to share learning through assemblies, parent evenings, open days and workshops.
We operate an open door policy and welcome feedback, as we recognise that this helps us to make further improvements to what we do.
We welcome parental support in school in a wide range of activities, so please let us know if you would like to help in any of the following ways:
- Listening to readers
- Working with a reading group
- Art and Craft activities
- Helping on visits
- Cooking activities
- Helping in PE / after school clubs
- Supporting play in Foundation Stage
- Supporting Forest Schools sessions
- Supporting in Science / Maths lessons
- I.T. tasks
- Making Resources
- Maintaining the library
- Display/ notice boards
If you wish to help the school with reading, visits etc, on a regular basis, then please consider asking for a police check form (DBS) at the office. All adults in regular contact with the children (more than once a month) need to go through this process for the safety of the children.
