Involving Parents
We positively encourage working in partnership with parents but this has been difficult lately with Covid-19 restrictions.
Ordinarily, we aim to invite parents into school as often as possible to share learning through assemblies, parent evenings, open days and workshops.
We welcome parental support in school in a wide range of activities, so please let us know if you would like to help in any of the following ways:
Supporting Learning
- Listening to readers
- Working with a reading group
- Art and Craft activities
- Helping on visits
- Cooking activities
- Helping in PE / after school clubs
- Supporting play in Foundation Stage
- Supporting Forest Schools sessions
- Supporting in Science / Maths lessons
Administration Tasks
- Photocopying
- Typing/administration
- I.T. tasks
- Laminating
- Making Resources
- Maintaining the library
- Display/ notice boards
If you wish to help the school with reading, visits etc, on a regular basis, then please consider asking for a police check form (DBS) at the office. All adults in regular contact with the children need to go through this process for the safety of the children.
