Involving Parents

We positively encourage working in partnership with parents but this has been difficult lately with Covid-19 restrictions.

Ordinarily, we aim to invite parents into school as often as possible to share learning through assemblies, parent evenings, open days and workshops.

We welcome parental support in school in a wide range of activities, so please let us know if you would like to help in any of the following ways:

Supporting Learning

  • Listening to readers
  • Working with a reading group
  • Art and Craft activities
  • Helping on visits
  • Cooking activities
  • Helping in PE / after school clubs
  • Supporting play in Foundation Stage
  • Supporting Forest Schools sessions
  • Supporting in Science / Maths lessons

Administration Tasks

  • Photocopying
  • Typing/administration
  • I.T. tasks
  • Laminating
  • Making Resources
  • Maintaining the library
  • Display/ notice boards

If you wish to help the school with reading, visits etc, on a regular basis, then please consider asking for a police check form (DBS) at the office. All adults in regular contact with the children need to go through this process for the safety of the children.
