We are proud to host "Parentscope," every half term. This is a facility where parents can make an appointment to speak to a professional about any worries or concerns you may have - however big or small.
In each session there is a team on hand comprising an Educational Psychologist, Educational Welfare Officer, Parent Advisor, School Nurse, Mental Health Worker and a Community Police Officer.
The professionals will be able to offer confidential advice and support in a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere over a cup of tea or coffee.
Appointments can be made by emailing Linda Walters, our Parent Liaison Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the school on 481536.
Here is a testimonial from one of our parents who made use of this fantastic service:
"Today I ventured into the world of Parentscope with a feeling af anxiety and trepidation and the weight of the world on my shoulders. I came out of there filled with hope, knowing there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I actually felt lighter.
I was worried that I would be judged and be blamed for creating my problems. It was not like that at all. I was listened to and a genuine two way conversation took place. There were no judging looks or comments, and my thoughts were talked through and understood. I was referred to two people who both had valuable hints and tips for me to use from their differing professions. They were professional, and human.
I would recommend this service to all of my friends who have any issue that they think they may need extra support with. There are many different professionals who are there to support us all, I think we should feel more confident to use them more."
